Interchange – A bridge between Vietnamese and Philippine culture and art

Recently, at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, the exhibition Interchange - a bridge between Vietnamese and Philippine culture and art took place, a special event, marking the 10-year milestone of the Strategic Partnership between the two Southeast Asian countries.

With 32 works by two artists Nhat Quy (Vietnam) and Emmanuel Garibay (Philippines), "Interaction" brings an artistic space that is both intimate and profound.

Each painting is like a slice of life – where tradition and modernity, individual and community, Vietnamese culture and Philippine culture coexist and dialogue.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong affirmed: this is a colorful dialogue, a testament to the power of art in connecting people and fostering peace.

Artist Nhat Quy brings to the exhibition works rich in expression. In each layer of color, viewers recognize images of culture, nature, memories and belief in sustainable values. For him, “interchange” is not just meeting – but sharing: between Vietnamese people and international friends, between tradition and contemporary breath.

Artist Emmanuel Garibay is a big name in Philippine art, bringing a strong energy and a desire to reflect society. In his paintings, ordinary people's faces appear in bold colors - both realistic and surreal. Garibay says that he paints people not just to describe, but to connect. Because art - according to him - does not need language, only the heart.

Some pictures in the exhibition

Each painting carries a message: about faith, humanity, and the aspiration for goodness – values that Vietnam and the Philippines both uphold. The exhibition is not only a meeting of two artists, but also a meeting of the public – those who love beauty and want to understand more deeply about neighboring cultures. “Interchange” is not just the name of an exhibition, but the spirit of connection – where art becomes a cultural bridge, and each painting is a bridge of friendship. From Vietnam to the Philippines, from the past to the present, art has always found its own way for people to understand each other better.

The exhibition will run until October 22 at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum – opening a journey of color discovery, where painting and friendship speak together./.
